Most Equine Commercial Liability policies exclude Professional Liability.  This endorsement can be added to your StarNet Equine Commercial Liability Policy for an additional premium and may cover you if you become legally obligated to pay for a third party loss resulting from the rendering or failure to render equestrian professional services.  Eligibility for this endorsements requires limits of $1,000,000 under your Equine Commercial Liability Policy.  When the Equine Professional Liability coverage is endorsed to the Equine Commercial Liability Policy, it does not increase the bodily injury per occurrence limit of $1,000,000 or the aggregate limit of $2,000,000.  However, the property damage limit of $100,000 per occurrence with a $200,000 annual aggregate, are additional limits.

Below are a few scenarios where you could become Legally Obligated to pay for bodily injury and/or property damage to a third party:

A client is looking to purchase a horse.  You advise that client on a horse, and they buy it.  Later they find the horse does not fit their skill level and they no longer want the horse.

While judging a horse show, a participant is having trouble with their horse.  You instruct the rider to continue on and later the rider is thrown from the horse and suffers serious injury.

The horse that threw the rider in the above example subsequently runs into a fence and injures itself to the point of never being able to show again.

You may have to pay through your own means a loss resulting from one of the above scenarios without the StarNet Equine Professional Liability endorsement.  If that happens, legal costs and expenses could be an additional burden.  The Equine Professional Liability endorsement may also pay legal costs to defend any suit against you, subject to the policy limits, terms and conditions.
